Okay before we get started, let's all have a quick reminder of what a Google Business Profile is. Per Google "Google Business Profile is an easy-to-use tool for businesses and organizations to manage their online presence across Google, including Search and Maps. To help customers find your business, and to tell them your story, you can verify your business and edit your business information".
In short, the place where you can set yourself apart from your competition. Why? Because not near enough businesses focus on this piece of their digital marketing strategy. The ironic thing with your Google Profile is that it is a lot easier to manage than your social media accounts. Here are 3 tips to standout, get more traffic and sign more deals.
First and foremost, you have to review your current status. I can't tell you how many times when I am doing research that I see profiles that are not only incomplete but also not updated. I strongly encourage that you keep update your Google Profile at least every two weeks.
One of the best ways that you can update your profile is through photos and/or videos. Take either or from your social media posts and apply them to your profile. A photo from 2019 was great in 2019 but time has moved on and so has your work. Stay relevant with fresh content, just like on social media.
Use your profile to get business reviews. The process is simple and not done enough. Just google your business name and on the right side you will find a link that allows you to share your profile link. The link opens up to a review option. More reviews help set yourself apart. Keep in mind, I see businesses all the time that haven't had an updated review for several months if not years.
